How to get there

Frankfurt is very well connected to the international and regional public transport. Within the city there is a vast public transport network via fast trains (S-Bahn), underground, tram and bus.

Stations

The closest stations to the Congress Center Messe are:

  • ‘Festhalle/Messe’: by tram lines 16 and 17 and underground line 4 running at least every 10 min, from there it’s a 5 min walk to the Congress Center
  • ‘Ludwig-Erhard-Anlage’: by tram lines 16 and 17 running at least every 10 min, from there you just have to cross the street

Both stations are connected to Frankfurt main station within about 10 minutes. From the airport, please take the S-Bahn to the main station and you will reach the venue in about 40 min.

Do not use the S-Bahn station ‘Messe’ – this is another entrance to Frankfurt fairground, but located on the opposite side (besides hall 8). You can’t cross the fairground.

Public transport in Frankfurt – live schedules and tickets

Frankfurt Main Station (Hauptbahnhof)

Frankfurt is very easily reachable by train and well connected to every major city in Germany as well as in neighbouring countries.

Having arrived at Frankfurt main station, please take the exit ‘Frankfurt city’ and take the tram line 16 (direction Ginnheim) or 17 (direction Rebstock). Or go to the basement and go with the underground line 4 for 1 station (direction Bockenheimer Warte).

If you prefer to have a walk, turn left and follow the big street ‘Friedrich-Ebert-Anlage’ for about 1km.

Event ticket by Deutsche Bahn

The German national railway company ‘Deutsche Bahn’ offers a discounted train ticket for congress attendees. Please see the section ‘travel arrangement’ below on this page.

Frankfurt is very well connected via international and domestic flights. Frankfurt airport is located outside the city center, but connected to every quarter of the city within less than one hour.

Having arrived at Frankfurt airport, simply take a taxi or go by public transport. Both will take you about 20-40 min depending on the traffic.

At the airport follow the signs ‘train stations’ to the basement. You can take any S-Bahn departing from track 1 to Frankfurt main station.

If you arrive at Terminal 2, you have to transfer to Terminal 1 for the train stations.

From Frankfurt main station, tram lines 16 or 17 and underground line 4 will take you right to the congress venue (for details see section how to get around).
